What should I expect?
Therapy is a partnership. It is about helping you explore and clarify issues in order to find resolution, coping skills and/or healing. It is about coming along side you, believing in you, and empowering you to gain insight and clarity as you journey through life.
Will my information be confidential?
How frequently should I attend therapy and for how long?
Frequency depends on the need of each client. However, most clients usually participate weekly, then less frequently as growth and healing occur. We decide together based on your own unique needs how long you will be in therapy.
What is the cost of a session?
The cost varies depending on many factors – including whether you will be using insurance. The self-pay rate is $90 per hour and is expected at the time of your appointment. Cash, check or Visa/MasterCard are accepted including HSA cards. If you are using insurance, any co-pay, coinsurance or deductible owed is expected at the time of your appointment.
What is my co-pay, co-insurance or deductible?
You are responsible for ensuring your coverage, so you will want to call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask the following questions:
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
Do I have a co-pay or coinsurance?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
What if I have to miss an appointment?
Of course emergencies happen that cause missed appointments. However, late cancellations do not allow session times to be filled with clients waiting for appointments. Therefore, there may be a $30 fee for appointments cancelled without a 24-hour notice.
